New Rising Storm Trailer on Gamespot!
by Alan Wilson on Monday, March 25, 2013, under News
Just released – a brand new trailer for the upcoming Rising Storm, the next game in the Red Orchestra franchise, available now on Gamespot.
The trailer gives you a chance to get an impression of some of the maps – iconic locations in the Pacific Theater such as Guadalcanal, Saipan and Iwo Jima. It also gives you a great chance to see some of the new weapons in action – the Japanese knee mortar, their rifles, the well-loved Garand and Springfield rifles and the American flamethrower. Not forgetting the Japanese ability to banzai-charge, with leaders waving katanas!
Community Map Pack news – and we want your trailers!
by Alan Wilson on Monday, March 25, 2013, under News
As hoped, we are currently working with the winners of the mapping contest to bring their maps in as official Red Orchestra 2 maps. The first ones scheduled for release are:
- Arad 2 Tanks
- Stalingrad Kessel
- Rakowice
- Winterwald
There will be a second pack with the other 3 contest maps (Bridges, Cold Steel and Gumrak) to follow later.
And here’s an opportunity for all the budding video directors amongst y’all: to go along with the fact that it is a COMMUNITY map pack, we want to go with a COMMUNITY recorded trailer. So get your Spielbergs on and show us the parts of those maps you like the most, you think are the coolest and the best to look at. Lots of action, blood, mayhem and death, cos that is cool too :) So, get your best Fraps going and get it all together by the 28th March – yes, this Thursday. We’ll grab all the footage and use the best of it to compile the trailer to go with the community map pack when that releases.
Detailed requirements are on the forums ->
Rising Storm preview on PC Gamer
by Alan Wilson on Monday, March 18, 2013, under News
As some people may be aware, we had Evan Lahti from PC Gamer out here at the office a few weeks back to get his hands on Rising Storm, the upcoming follow-on to Red Orchestra 2. The first results of that hands on just got published on the PC Gamer website – so CLICK HERE to read it. There will be a print article to follow, with more information, so be sure to look out for that as well.
Of course, he also had the chance to have a good chat with us, which led to last week’s “opinion piece” that ran on PC Gamer (and a lot of other places as well) - LINK!
Everyone loves a good debate…
